Anxiety Support

Everybody can feel anxious or worried at different times in their lives, it is a common reaction to a stressful situation and can also alert us if we are in danger or if there is a potential threat to others. When anxiety and worry hangs around and don’t go away, it can impact the way we live our lives and the decisions we make. Anxiety is the most common mental health condition in Australia, one in four people experience Anxiety.

Anxiety is a very treatable condition, and positive shifts can occur very early in the counselling process. At Insight Centre Counselling, we start by demystifying anxiety, allowing the client to understand the ‘helpful’ and ‘unhelpful’ aspects of anxiety, and explore where it has come from and why it is present in their lives today. When clients gain a personal understanding of their anxiety, it makes the development of new skills easier to adopt which can help manage and reduce anxiety to a level that creates meaningful change to their lives.
